Our students of African Hope Children’s Ministry took part in a Discipleship Camp during August. The camp was held in Nakasongola and was led by Jonathan Sewava and his team. It was a wonderful week of teaching, discussions, games and most of all fun! The students were well-equipped. They were given Bibles and discipleship manuals to help them to be good witnesses for Christ. They were encouraged to read their Bibles. One young lady who received a Bible from her sponsor last year, reads it regularly and has memorized verses. That was encouraging to all.
There was community service during the camp. In one case, the girls were sharing Jesus Christ with an elderly woman while the boys were making her a platform for drying her cups, plates and pans.
All the students were so happy with the week and promise to have better performance in their studies.
Jonathan was excited to announce the opening of the newest water well. This well was made possible by DunbarPrimary School and Brandon Elementary School of Lufkin, First Christian Church of Lufkin, Texas and Riverside Methodist Women’s Group. The village held a celebration. A Moslem family gave their lives to Christ after receiving the water well in their village.
Jonathan describes the week as hectic but awesome. He says they are so blessed to have the students, see them loving the Lord and having a passion to serve God. What a mission to invest in!
The gentleman with a white hat on his head is a strong Moslem man on the village and the lady in pink…during the water well celebration, they were singing praises to the Almighty God and praising with the rest of the people singing worship songs and praising Jesus. The lady in pink and all her family decided to give her life to Christ. Amen.
The family below were all Moslems and after receiving a miracle of the fresh drinking water of the water well, they all decided to give their lives to Jesus and on Sunday they all went to church!
The same Sunday, one family that was deep in witchcraft all gave their lives to Jesus and all came to church on Sunday…praise Jesus.
